Turn
off the computer and remove the external devices including the docking
station, Monitor, keyboard and mouse.

Set
the computer to boot from the CD-ROM. Set the Hard Drive Controller to
[ATA] and Card Reader to [Disable] (Please
refer to the "Default BIOS settings").
Save and
Exit the BIOS Settings.

Run
RAID setup (Please refer to the "How to setup the RAID")
-
Insert
the Microsoft Windows XP Professional CD into the CD-ROM drive. Make sure
that the computer is connected to the AC power, and then reboot the
computer.

Press
any key when asked Press any key to start up from the CD…
Windows XP Professional is now prepared to run

Press
the F6 key when the massage "Press F6 if you need to
install third party SCSI or RAID driver" appears.
-
When
the Windows setup menu appear, press the "S" key to
"Specify Additional Device"
-
Inserted
the floppy disk with the RAID driver copied in to it.
-
Select
the "WinXP Promise Fastrack 376/378 (tm) Controller and
then press Enter
-
The
system will now read from the floppy drive and return to Windows setup
menu. And then Press Enter to continue.

Press
the Enter key to install Windows XP Professional when the Windows
XP Professional Setup screen appears. Press
the R key to repair a Windows XP installation. To quit without
installing, press the F3 key.

Press
the F8 key to agree to the terms at the Windows XP Licensing
Agreement screen.

On
the Windows XP Professional Setup screen, use the arrow keys to
select the partition to install to. After selecting a partition, press
ENTER.

The
next screen asks you for which file system to install. Use the arrow
keys to make your selection, and then press ENTER. The next
screen checks the hard disk.

The
Setup program is now copying files and initialize the Windows XP
configuration to restart automatically when finish.

The
Windows XP Professional startup screen will appears momentarily.
The installation begins and continues.

If
necessary, make changes to the regional and language settings, and
then click Next.
-
Type
your name and the name of the organization, if applicable, and then
click Next.
-
Type
in Product Key number and change the name of the computer. Type an
administrator password,
and then confirm it. Click Next. Select your Date and Times
Settings
-
Select
your Network Settings, the default settings is Typical
Settings. Select your Workgroup or Computer Domain, the
default settings is Workgroup. The installation continues.

When
the installation is finished, the computer automatically restarts.
Windows XP starts. In the Display Settings dialog box,
click OK. In the Monitor Settings dialog box, click OK.

On
the Welcome to Microsoft Windows screen, click Next. If
there is a network interface controller (NIC) in the computer, Windows
XP checks for Internet connectivity on the network. On the How will
this computer connect to the Internet? screen, click Skip.
Use the Internet Connection Wizard once the installation is completed.
If there is a modem in the computer, a Do you want to set up
Internet access now screen appears. Click No, not at
this time, and then click Next.

On
the Ready to register with Microsoft screen, click No, not
at this time, and then click Next. Windows Setup needs to
know who is going to use this computer. Type in the appropriate names,
and then click Next. On the Thank you screen, click Finish.

The
Welcome screen will appear momentarily. The Windows XP installation is
complete. The Windows XP desktop appears.

Sets
the "Card Reader" under BIOS Settings to [Enabled].
Save and Exit the BIOS Settings.

Reinstall
the appropriate drivers.
