Dual-Channel PC2-3200 DDR 400MHz Performance Enhanced Memory. DDR memory offers twice the data bandwidth of conventional PC100 or PC133 SDRAM, and is particularly well suited for high-performance servers and workstations, which need optimal CPU-memory performance. Double Data Rate (DDR) SDRAM is precisely what the name implies. A clock cycle can be represented as a square wave, with the rising edge defined as the transition from "0" to "1", and the falling edge as "1" to "0". In SDRAM, only one of these wave edges is used, but DDR SDRAM references both, effectively doubling the rate of data transmission.

Dual Hard Drives allow for RAID 0/1 Serial ATA Configurations. Apart from being able to store twice as much data on your laptop, dual HD bays also allow you to setup your system with a cool technology called RAID. The 2 primary settings are RAID 0 (striping) and RAID 1 (mirroring). Each of these, have their own advantages. RAID 0 splits your data into blocks and then saves it across both hard drives, whereby allowing your RAID controller to simultaneous read/write data to each drive. By doing this, you will be able to harness the RPM speed from both drives instead of just one. RAID 0 is perfect for gaming, film editing, 3D rendering, musical production and recording, etc. RAID 1 is aimed more towards security of your data and files. It accomplishes this by making a backup(mirror) of your primary HD in real-time. So if your HD ever crashes, you will not lose any files, because they will still be stored on your 2nd hard drive. The Samadhi Series™ can also support SATA drives. SATA are a newer improved version of the classic ATA drive that came out around 1986. SATA drives are much more streamlined, and not only consume less power, but they also have a higher bandwidth capacity than the older ATA drive.

Whereas, most laptops require you to purchase a cam separately and then attach it to the top of your screen, the Samadhi Series™ has seamlessly integrated a high-quality 1.3 MegaPixel CCD camera right on top of the LCD. PCI Express™ Architecture. PCI Express is the most significant update to pc architecture in the past decade. PCI Express is a new I/O technology designed to allow computer systems to scale to new levels of performance. Now, if you want to back up some of your DVDs or CDs, you won't have to burn them to your HD first (which can really bog down a system by cluttering up your hard drive with temp files) instead, you can simply place the master disc in one slot, the blank disc in the 2nd slot, and start copying in real-time. This also means much faster burn times, since you will not have to write the data before copying it.
