Dual-Channel PC2-5300 DDR2 667MHz Performance Enhanced Memory.  There are several performance enhancements that DDR2 has over standard DDR SDRAM.  Chief among these is the ability to read & write 4X as much data per clock cycle. Serial ATA was designed to overcome a number of limitations of Parallel ATA. The most significant limitation of Parallel ATA is the difficulty in increasing the data rate beyond 100 MBytes/s. Parallel ATA uses a single-ended signaling system that is prone to induced noise. Increasing the Parallel data rate beyond 100 MBytes/s would require a new signaling system that would not be backward compatible with existing systems. Hard disk drives, such as the Travelstar® 7K100, currently outrun the 100 MByte/s data transfer rate.  As a result, a new interface system has been defined to accommodate the faster processing capabilities of next generation high-speed desktop, notebook and entry-server architectures.

Intel High Definition 8-Channel Audio System.  Intel has worked with the industry to develop a new specification for integrated audio that is capable of delivering the features and high-end performance of an add-in audio card. Intel High Definition Audio (Intel HD Audio) is capable of playing back more channels at higher quality than previous integrated audio formats.
