From humble beginnings, MALIBAL was founded by Matthew Plott, a young entrepreneur who dreamt of creating a technology company unlike any before it, with roughly $100 shortly after moving to Las Vegas in 2004. MALIBAL is a homophone of one of the alternate pronunciations of malleable (ma-lə-bəl) and shares a similar meaning. MALIBAL is an acronym for Modular Adaptable Long-Lasting Innovations for Business And Leisure. The name and acronym were coined by MALIBAL’s founder, Matthew Plott, whose original vision for the company was to create highly customizable products that could be easily configured and adapted to each user’s needs and were designed to be user-upgradeable, user-serviceable, and last a long time.
